María Lorena Gutiérrez Botero
Industrial Engineer – Universidad de los Andes
Under Decree 1081 of 2015, she is not considered a PEP (Politically Exposed Person). She holds postgraduate studies in Finance from Universidad de los Andes, an MBA, and a Ph.D. in Finance from the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. She served as President of Corficolombiana from August 2018 to 2024, Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism (2017–2018), Ambassador of Colombia to Germany (2016–2017), and Minister of the Presidency (2010–2016). She also served as Dean of the School of Business Administration at Universidad de los Andes.

Diego Solano Saravia
Systems Engineer – Universidad de los Andes
Not considered a PEP.  He holds an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He currently serves as Corporate Financial Vice President of Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores S.A. Previously, he worked at McKinsey and Company Colombia Inc.

Jorge Adrián Rincón Plata
Lawyer – Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga
Not considered a PEP. He holds a Master’s in International Business Law from Queen Mary University & Westfield College, University of London. He currently serves as Corporate Legal Vice President of Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores S.A. and previously worked at Banco de Bogotá

Rafael Eduardo Neira Torres Contador
Public Accountant – Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano
Not considered a PEP. He holds a postgraduate degree in Banking Management from Universidad de los Andes. He currently serves as Corporate Comptroller Vice President of Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores S.A. and previously served as Deputy Financial Superintendent at the Financial Superintendence of Colombia (2006–2008).

Paula Durán Fernández
Economist – University of Western Sydney
She holds an MBA from Universidad de los Andes and joined Grupo Aval in 2024. She currently serves as Corporate Vice President of Sustainability and Strategic Projects. Dr. Durán has worked as Vice President of Strategy and Sustainability at Corficolombiana and has over 20 years of experience in the public and private sectors.

Eduardo Duque Suárez
Economist – Universidad de los Andes
Not considered a PEP. He holds a Master’s in Economics from Universidad de los Andes. He currently serves as Corporate Vice President of Risk and Compliance of Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores S.A. and previously worked at various Citigroup entities in Colombia and abroad

He currently serves as Corporate Vice President of Strategic Assets and Efficiency of Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores S.A. and previously worked at Banco de Bogotá.

Ernesto José Gutiérrez de Piñeres
Ingeniero de sistemas de la Universidad del Norte
Not considered a PEP.
 He holds an MBA from Universidad de los Andes and has completed various executive programs in leadership and strategic management at IESE Business School and other universities in Colombia and abroad. Dr. Gutiérrez de Piñeres has over 25 years of professional experience and has served as CEO of Seynkun and Vice President of Science, Technology, and Innovation at Ecopetrol, as well as other leadership positions across multiple sectors.

María Edith González Flórez
Public Accountant – Universidad Santiago de Cali
Not considered a PEP. She holds a postgraduate degree in Finance from Universidad ICESI and has been part of Grupo Aval since 2004. She currently serves as Corporate Vice President of Accounting Consolidation. Dr. González previously served as Administrative and Financial Director at Bellsouth Colombia (2001–2003) and at Cocelco (1997–2001), as well as holding other senior positions in financial management.
